Help with A/E spike
I know people have done it over and over, but its still a good spike and I haven't figured out the other one i want to try quite yet so I wanted a little help with this one, to inadvertantly help with the other build I am working on. OK, enough of that crap.
Impale
Black Lotus
Twisting Fangs
Moebius Strike {E}
Glyph of Sacrifice
Pheonix
Whatever
Rez Sig (whatever)
To maximize effectiveness of the skills for the spike I was forced to make some decicions i don't like in regards to my attributes which i am sure you will spot immediately.
Crit Strikes - 13 (10 +3 + 1)
Deadly Arts - 11 (10 +1)
Fire Magic - 11
Dagger Masterry - 5 (4 +1)
I'll get back to my complaints in a bit but let me show you why it looks this way for now.
You will need a zealous mod, or have to rely on crits to make it to moebius I think... still have to work out the timing on the energy regen and such, back to this later too.
Impale, wait for nrg. Glyph of Sac, Black Lotus, TF, Pheonix, Moebius.
If my math didnt totally blow this should be around 500 damage including deep wound. Can't remember if Impale procs for each of the hits with a dual strike, or just once.
Problems:
I don't like the attributes... I want more dagger mastery. I use Crit Strikes for Black Lotus mostly, and I don't see another way to get the energy I need.
The other glaring problem is the reliance on Moebius Strike. I don't doubt that the spike would fail to bring someone too less than 50%, I worry that it might kill them outright which would pretty much make this a one shot wonder for about a minute and a half. Assassin's Promise has the same problem on the opposite side of the spectrum. In theory you could dump moebius or AP,and swap Glyph of Sac for Glyph of Essence, but I think this way makes it a little easier to cycle, but it does run a pretty high risk.
I know everyone will want to make changes to the build one way or another, but I would like to know WHY you would pick some things over others. And try to remember I did it this way because of energy constraints and so that I could repeat it as soon as my energy was up again instead of waiting for pheonix to recharge.
